Carroll or Giroud Goal ?
Two goals of exceptional quality but the question I want to ask is if you were a professional player and could pick either goal to score which one would you pick.

In absolute honesty I would pick the Carroll goal because that is the type of goal I have dreamt of scoring since I was about 10 years old.
The athleticism and the power he hit it at was so sweet to watch and I can only imagine how chuffed Carroll must have felt..
Surely even though Girouds goal may have looked and probably was technically more difficult to pull off no one will make me believe it felt as good as how Carrolls volley felt .

Carroll's goal as it was intended for the word go, Giroud's girl was incredible but it was speculative, he didn't make the run to hit the ball like that so there was a massive amount of luck involved. Not to say it wasn't one of the best goals i've ever seen.

Andy's goal is the best scored in the Premier this season.

Carroll, pure control

Frog, pure luck

Carroll's will be goal of the season, easy.

Re: Carroll or Giroud Goal ?
Carroll's was a superb piece of technique and athleticism that flew into the net. A head high volley

Giroud's was a fluke. A despairing flick at a ball he had overrun. Send it to one of those Funny Home Video shows along with blokes standing on rakes or falling off a roof.
Or sign him up for one of the next tv Dancing shows.

Surely Carrols is technically more difficult, Frogs was just a lucky stivk your leg out job

They showed all of the premier overhead kick goals on TV yesterday and Carroll's was probably the best out of all of them, as none were hit so cleanly.

I mean Sinclair's for QPR is probably the best I've ever seen, but Andy's was exceptional.

Andy Carroll's goal by far.

Pure football strike.

That scorpion kick bollocks... Stick a leg out and hope for the best.

That goal on Saturday was as good as you'll ever see on a football pitch. No luck whatsoever, pure STRIKE.

That Manc cunts goal was offside, wasn't it?

Shouldn't have counted.

Paolo's Wimbledon goal must be goal of the century then?

I thought Payet's goal against Boro' was pretty good.

Luckily (and unjustly), it didn't even get Goal of the Month, so they're not going to annoy us by giving it Goal of the Season in front of AC's wonderstrike

Re: Carroll or Giroud Goal ?
thought lanzini s" goal was better actually.

footballers normally lose the plot if they have more than 3 seconds to think. Lanzini proved he had bigs balls and a brain by running 80 yards to finish with pure class. the jump into the crowd right in front of me was the icing on the halal cake.

Re: Carroll or Giroud Goal ?
Just imagine Carlton Cole in that same position. He'd have closed his eyes and booted it against the keeper as hard as he could.

Carroll by a mile.

(in the same position as Lanzini)

I prefer Girouds because it was different. Rarely done before.
Carrolls, whilst admittedly a fantastic goal, could arguably not even be West Hams goal of the season after that goal from the one who must never be mentioned again (v Boro at home ?)

Did you see Carroll pick up that ballboy kid after, I thought he was going to launch him?
